First of all, let's find out what is hot dip galvanizing:
As a common metal anti-corrosion method, hot-dip galvanizing is also called hot-dip galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing in the process. It uses the principle that the reducibility of zinc is greater than that of iron to protect the steel base, thereby prolonging the service life of the steel. The hot-dip galvanizing process is to immerse the steel parts after rust removal into molten zinc at about 500 ℃, so that the zinc layer is attached to the surface of the steel components, thus achieving the purpose of anti-corrosion.
The advantages of hot-dip galvanizing are its strong anti-corrosion ability, and the adhesion and hardness of the galvanized layer are better. Hot galvanizing is mostly used in power line construction. Continuous hot galvanizing process: steel → heating → cooling to galvanizing temperature → galvanizing → cooling.
At this time, the problem arises. Compared with hot galvanizing, electro-galvanizing can also play a role in corrosion prevention. Why not use electro-galvanizing as the surface treatment of electric fittings?
Electrogalvanizing is also called cold galvanizing: contrast hot galvanizing is a chemical treatment, which belongs to electrochemical reaction. Cold galvanizing is a physical treatment, only brush a layer of zinc on the surface, so the zinc layer is easy to fall off. Cold galvanizing is to use electrolytic equipment to put the workpiece into a solution composed of zinc salt after degreasing and pickling, and connect the negative electrode of the electrolytic equipment; Place a zinc plate on the opposite side of the workpiece and connect it to the positive electrode of the electrolytic equipment, turn on the power supply, and use the current to move from the positive electrode to the negative electrode to deposit a layer of zinc on the workpiece.
